Over 100 golfers. Dozens of volunteers kept everything running smoothly.

Pearls of Hope Annual Awards & Scholarship Gala

Thank you for your support during 2018.
We were honored to have District Attorney Jackie Lacey as our Keynote Speaker at our Pearls of Hope Gala.
Her presentation was inspirational and touched many hearts.
Insight Legal Graphics was selected as our 2018 Pearls of Hope Champion in recognition of their In-Kind Sponsorship supporting the mission of Pearls of Hope for over 10 years.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Our Honorary Speaker and Medical Advisor, Dr. Becky Miller,
provided an update on new discoveries in cancer research.
Entertainment was provided by Milestones
featuring Michael Diliberto.
Our Golf Classic was fun and a great success. The success of the day was a result of all the golfers who showed up to play and support our cause; the volunteers who helped to put it all together both before , during and after the event; the sponsors who supported us with financial gifts and items for our auctions and Moorpark Country Club for such a beautiful venue.

We are grateful for our golfers, including Susan has flown out every year from New Jersey to golf our tournament. As if that is not enough, this year she took it a step further by purchasing a T-sign as well! Scot Steenberg could easily stop at the Scot Sponsor level of 16 golfers, but instead he committed to that and a Birdie Sponsor of 8 additional golfers! Additionally, Steve who donates the cost for the BBQ lunch as he has in the past, this year he has pledged $10,000 at $1,000 per year for the next 10 years to go towards our scholarships.

This year was the inaugural presentation of the “John & Elisa Jackson Humanitarian Award”, which was awarded to the Steele Family.
This year was also the Inaugural presentation of the Michael A Sautheir CLU Mentoring Scholarship. It was awarded to Gina LaBeaud.
We heard stories and updates on their lives from three of our scholarship recipients.
We are grateful for all out raffle item, silent auction donors and the support of Lauren of Creative Charity Auctions.
We love the memories we create at this event and especially are thankful for Elsa O’Hare for the up-close photographs and for our Videographer Marvin McLaughlin.
